Africa Humanitarian Action is collaborating with the Ministry of Health, district health offices, UNHCR and WHO in Uganda to prevent further spreading of the Ebola virus. Cases of Ebola have not been reported in the Kyaka II and Rwamwanja refugee settlements where AHA is operating; however, high precaution measures have been put in place to protect refugees.
AHA is taking part in spreading information on infection prevention mechanisms. AHA staffs have been sensitized and protective gears received from the health Ministry and WHO task forces, have been distributed to allow staff respond to suspected cases. AHA is accepting rubber glove and facemask donations.
