AHA aims to house Somali refugees in Kobe in economically built habitable shelters. The steel structured dome shaped shelters chosen for the camp are environment-friendly and low in cost. AHA has already established a coordination office in the camp and has deployed the required manpower for the implementation and day to day supervision of the project activities. Refugees will be sensitized on shelter erection upon arrival.
Kobe Camp is the third camp for AHA in Ethiopia to service in the Somali region. AHA in Ethiopia has erected and provided over six thousand shelters to refugee households in Boklmayo, Melkadida, Adi Harush, Berhale and Aysaita refugee camps to date.
